Week of Sept 25-Sept 30: Pasta Thurs night, Nike Portland XC on Sat (Bus loads 7am)


Good Morning XC!

XC team notes and announcements:

  • Team Dinner-Thursday Night (9/28) at Thomas & Owen Grigsby’s Home. The address is 2350 Oakway Terrace. Reminder: 9th bring Salad (green or fruit), 10th bring drinks, 11th bring dessert & 12th bring bread. Thanks for helping make the teams dinners a success!
  • This is the start of the cold and flu season-remind your kids to hydrate, eat well, lots of rest! So important to take care of themselves, this can be a difficult part of the season, but it all comes to an end in 4 weeks!
  • XC Meet Saturday: Nike Portland XC at the Portland Meadows Race Track. The address is 1001 N. Schmeer Rd in Portland. The meet is a HUGE meet with 100’s of teams and several thousand runners. They do charge a $5.00 admission, cash only. (12 & under free) There is no seating, but are encouraged to bring a chair & no dogs. XC Nike apparel for sale too.

The team will load the bus at 7:00 am at Sheldon & Race schedule is as follows:
Girls Novice 3K-10:55
Girls Division 1-11:15
Boys Division 1-11:40
Boys Novice 3K-12:50
9th Boys-2:00
9/10 Girls: 2:25
10th Boys-2:50
11/12 Girls-3:15
11/12 Boys-3:40

We will have a bus returning to Sheldon. Please let us know ASAP if you plan to drive your son or daughter home from meet so that we can plan transportation.
It is a very long day, so please plan lunch, snack, chairs, clothing for a successful day!
