Hi all,

I wanted to provide some information on the Varsity District meet this week.  Click here for the meet schedule in PDF.

The meet will be held Thursday May 14th & Saturday May 16th at Silke Field, Springfield High School.

This year’s meet is unique in that it will be a 5A/6A District Championship meet, both classifications competing at same venue.

Sheldon will be competing against other 6A schools: Thurston, Willamette, South Eugene, Grants Pass, North Medford, South Medford & Roseburg.

We will have a formal team meeting tomorrow to review schedules and procedures of the meet.  Information should come home with the athletes.

On Thursday students are excused from class at 10:15, bus will leave at 10:30; I will have a bus to return to Sheldon if needed.

We will set up a tent area in the grass fields, due to the stands saved for the spectators.  We will try to be best prepared for weather.

If you are interested in donating drinks or snacks for either day please let me know.

The Prevedello family is hosting a Varsity team dinner on Wednesday May 13th at 6:00 p.m., athletes can practice and then go home and change for dinner.

Thank you John & Lisa Prevedello for hosting the team & Rich & Kelly Walk for organizing/cooking our great meal!

Also thanks to all the families that have provided snacks for meets this year, greatly appreciated!
