First and foremost, we hope you’re all staying healthy and safe during this time of uncertainty.
We know some of our athletes may choose to continue training while school is not in session and the season is on hold. This is a decision that each athlete and their parent(s) should make on their own, with the knowledge that our coaching staff is neither encouraging or discouraging athletes from continuing to train in a limited capacity. For individual athletes who choose to engage in some limited training on their own, we’ve provided some general training options that mirror what each event group would have likely been doing if this was a normal season. If individual athletes choose to continue training, we strongly encourage that to happen alone or in small groups that fit within the guidelines outlined by the state of Oregon.
Each event coach will periodically post updated notes and general fitness programs. Athletes, please remember that these should not be interpreted as prescribed workouts; they are simply suggestions for the type of exercise you could do if you and your family feel it’s appropriate.
We’re incredibly excited to announce that OTC is starting a Youth Cross Country Program. Starting August 27th! The former Shamrock XC club for middle school aged kids in the Sheldon area is merging with OTC Youth Cross Country!
The goal is to give many more kids in the Eugene-Springfield and surrounding areas the opportunity to participate in this historic club, and be part of Eugene’s worldwide fame as TrackTown USA.
OTC Elite will be involved throughout the whole season. We’re excited to have some new young teammates and help inspire the next generation.

The Twilight 5k is our team’s big annual fundraiser. The success of this run is extremely important to success of our programs. The school district provides the athletic programs with exactly zero dollars to operate our programs; that means that having supportive parents and athletes like you is the only way we can keep our program going! Last year our run was very successful. Every year we ask that each athlete gets total of 5 people to either sign up for our run or make a donation. So parents, please help us coaches out and encourage your athlete to do his or her part. This Year the 5K course starts and features two loops on Pre’s Trial in Alton Baker Park.
